Try Propelr for FreeIf you're looking for Hypefury alternatives in 2026, there's a good chance you haven't yet found the one fact that matters: Hypefury no longer supports X.
Not "deprioritized." Not "basic support." Gone.
Every round-up currently ranking for this keyword still describes Hypefury as an X-first automation suite priced between $29 and $199 a month. That description is out of date, and if you're making a switching decision from those articles, you're working from a broken map.
This one is for X-first founders, solopreneurs, and creators who built a posting habit on Hypefury's automation and now need somewhere to put it.
A note up front: I run Propelr, one of the tools in this list. I've flagged where it isn't the right answer, and two of the recommendations below beat it for specific jobs.
The change most comparison articles missed
Hypefury's own pricing page answers the question directly in its FAQ:
"Does Hypefury still support 𝕏/Twitter? Nope! Hypefury no longer supports 𝕏 : ("
The current pricing page now lists a single plan — Essentials at $6/month, with a 7-day free trial and no free tier — supporting four networks: Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
That's the whole product now. The $29 Starter, $65 Creator, and $150 Agency tiers that populate every comparison table on the internet are gone, along with the platform the tool was built for.
One wrinkle if you're trying to confirm this yourself: Hypefury's homepage still carries leftover X marketing copy, including a headline referencing 𝕏 and a bullet about "Automated sales on 𝕏 (Twitter)." The pricing-page FAQ is the authoritative statement. The mixed signals on their own site are probably why so much of the web hasn't caught up.
Why walking away from X makes economic sense
Hypefury hasn't published a detailed post-mortem, so what follows is reasoning rather than reporting.
X's API pricing changed shape in 2026. Reported terms for new developers moved to pay-per-use — on the order of $0.015 per post created, rising to about $0.20 when the post contains a link, with the free tier discontinued and the legacy $200 Basic and $5,000 Pro tiers closed to new signups (X API pricing breakdown).
Now look at what Hypefury was famous for:
- Evergreen recycling — automatically republishing your best posts on a loop
- Auto-plugs — appending a promotional reply to any post that performs well
- Auto-retweets — re-boosting your own content after a delay
Every one of those is a write operation, and Hypefury's whole value proposition was doing lots of them automatically. A tool whose core feature is high-volume automated posting, where promotional posts almost always contain a link, is the worst possible shape for per-post pricing. Auto-plugs are link posts by definition.
The unit economics of a $29/month subscription don't survive that. A $6/month plan on four platforms that don't meter writes does.
Who should stay on Hypefury
Three cases where $6 is now the best deal available.
Match the replacement to what you actually used
"Best alternative" depends entirely on which Hypefury feature you'd miss on Monday morning.
| What you used Hypefury for | Where it goes now |
|---|---|
| Scheduling threads on X | Typefully or Buffer |
| Writing the posts, not just scheduling | Propelr (AI writing on LinkedIn + X) |
| Evergreen recycling on X | No clean replacement — see below |
| Auto-plugs and reply automation | No clean replacement on X post-API changes |
| Cross-posting X → LinkedIn | Propelr, Buffer, or Typefully |
| Bluesky and Threads scheduling | Stay on Hypefury at $6 |
Most people arriving at this article need the first two rows.
The alternatives worth considering
A deliberate choice here: this list is short. Every tool below has pricing I verified against its own pricing page this week. I've left out four tools whose prices I could only confirm through secondary sources, because stale pricing is exactly what made every other article on this topic misleading.
| Feature | Supports X | AI writing | Evergreen recycling | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Typefully | Limited | Free / ~$8/mo | ||
| Buffer | Basic | Free / $5 per channel | ||
| Propelr | Voice-trained | $19/mo | ||
| Taplio | Library | $39/mo | ||
| Hypefury (current) | Basic | $6/mo |
Typefully
The closest thing to a direct replacement for X-first scheduling. Clean composer, genuinely good thread editor, and it publishes to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon. There's a free tier covering one social set with a monthly post cap, and paid plans start around $8/month per social set on annual billing.
The billing unit matters: Typefully charges per social set — a bundle of one brand's accounts. Running three client brands multiplies the bill. Check Typefully's pricing page before committing, since tier names vary between sources.
Best for: you write your own posts fluently and want the best composing experience on X.
Buffer
The safe, boring, correct answer for a lot of people. Buffer's pricing is a free plan with 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel, then Essentials at $5/month per channel and Team at $10/month per channel. It supports X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, and Google Business Profile.
Per-channel pricing is the catch. Two channels is $10/month; six channels is $30/month. The AI Assistant is included on all tiers but is shallow for long-form LinkedIn writing.
Best for: breadth across many networks, and you'd rather pay per channel than per tool.
Propelr
Disclosure: I built it. Voice-trained AI writing for LinkedIn and X, native carousel builder, scheduler, and analytics, at $19/month flat with a free tier. Official OAuth on both platforms.
The honest limitation: Propelr does not do evergreen recycling or auto-plugs. If those were the Hypefury features you loved, this is not a swap — it solves the writing problem, not the automation-loop problem. Where it fits is if your real bottleneck was always the blank page, and Hypefury's recycling was compensating for not producing enough new content. Propelr vs Hypefury →
Taplio
Included only to rule it out: Taplio is LinkedIn-only and starts at $39/month with zero AI credits on that tier. It is not a Hypefury replacement for anyone whose priority is X. If your migration is actually "I'm giving up on X and going all-in on LinkedIn," it's a reasonable destination — the Taplio alternatives audit covers the real pricing structure, which is more than the $39 headline suggests.
What X-first creators lose and can't get back
The uncomfortable part of this migration: nothing on the market cleanly replaces Hypefury's X automation.
Evergreen recycling, auto-plugs, and delayed self-retweets were Hypefury's moat. The reason no competitor is rushing to fill the gap is the same reason Hypefury left: automated high-volume posting against a metered write API is a bad business to be in. This isn't a gap the market will close in six months.
Practically, you have three options:
- Rebuild the loop manually. Keep a swipe file of your top 30 posts and re-queue them by hand every quarter. Tedious, free, works.
- Post more new content instead of recycling old content. This is where AI writing tools change the math — if drafting is cheap, recycling matters less. That's the honest case for a tool like Propelr over a scheduler.
- Accept the loss and move your automation energy to LinkedIn, where the API terms are stable and the organic reach ceiling is currently higher for B2B audiences.
If you're weighing whether X is still worth the effort at all, the Tweet Hunter alternatives audit walks through the remaining X tooling landscape in more depth.
Get your queue out before you need it
Scheduled posts are the thing people lose in a migration. Do this in one sitting.
Migrate off Hypefury without losing your queue
A one-hour export and switch process that preserves your scheduled content and posting cadence.
Total time: 1 hour
- 1
Export your scheduled queue to plain text
Open your Hypefury queue and copy every scheduled post into a single text file or spreadsheet. Include the intended date and time for each. There's no one-click export, so this is manual — budget 20 to 30 minutes if you queue a month ahead.
- 2
Screenshot your evergreen library
If you've been recycling posts, that library is your highest-performing content and it exists nowhere else. Copy the full list out, ordered by performance if the analytics still show it. This is the asset worth saving, more than the queue itself.
- 3
Write down your actual cadence
Note how many posts per week you were publishing and at what times. Automation hides this from you, and it's easy to quietly drop from five posts a week to two after switching tools. The number is the thing you're protecting.
- 4
Connect the new tool and load one week
Pick your replacement and schedule only the next seven days. Loading a full month before you've confirmed the publishing works is how people discover a broken integration on day 12.
- 5
Run both tools for one week if you still use the other platforms
If you're keeping Hypefury for Bluesky, Threads, or Instagram, don't cancel it. Run your new X tool alongside it for a week and confirm posts land on both sides before consolidating anything.
- 6
Decide on recycling deliberately
Once you're settled, choose consciously: rebuild the evergreen loop by hand, or replace it with a higher volume of new posts. Drifting into neither is the outcome that quietly kills a posting habit.
Step 2 is the one people skip and regret. Your evergreen library is months of validated content, and it lives inside a tool you're about to stop paying for.
What you'll actually pay
For an X-first creator who was on Hypefury Creator at $65/month, here's the realistic landing spot:
- Typefully paid + keep Hypefury for Bluesky/Threads: roughly $8 + $6 = $14/month
- Buffer at 3 channels (X, LinkedIn, Bluesky): $15/month on Essentials
- Propelr Pro alone (LinkedIn + X, AI writing included): $19/month
- Typefully free + manual LinkedIn posting: $0, with a real time cost
Most people migrating off Hypefury will spend less than they were. That's the one piece of good news in this transition — the tool got cheaper for the platforms it kept, and the replacements for X are cheaper than Hypefury's old mid-tier.
The cost that isn't on this list is the automation you're giving up. If evergreen recycling was doing real work in your growth, budget time to replace it, not money.
