Impressions-based engagement benchmarks (2026)

Personal profile creator benchmarks. Company pages typically run 30–50% lower at the same audience size.

  • Great — top 10% of personal profiles
    ≥ 5%
  • Good — above average for B2B creators
    ≥ 3%
  • Average — sustainable but not exceptional
    ≥ 1.5%
  • Below average — content needs work
    ≥ 0.5%
  • Poor — algorithm may be throttling reach
    ≥ 0%

Which formula should I use?

Impressions-based — (Engagements ÷ Impressions) × 100. The more honest measure of content quality because it normalizes for reach. Use this if you have access to impressions in LinkedIn Analytics or a creator dashboard.

Follower-based — (Engagements ÷ Followers) × 100. The fallback when impressions aren't available. Tends to look better than reality because not all followers actually see your post — LinkedIn typically shows posts to a small fraction of followers initially, then expands distribution based on early engagement.
