Sales Navigator
LinkedIn's premium product tier for B2B sales professionals, offering advanced lead search, account tracking, alerts, and CRM integrations.
Sales Navigator is LinkedIn's paid product for outbound sales teams. It costs roughly $100/month at the Core tier and scales up to $1,600/year for Advanced Plus with team-level features. The whole product is designed around finding, tracking, and engaging accounts and decision-makers at target companies.
The core capabilities: advanced lead search with 30+ filters (function, seniority, company headcount, technology used, recent job changes), lead and account lists, real-time alerts when target prospects post or change roles, 50 InMail credits per month, and integrations with major CRMs like Salesforce and HubSpot.
What sales teams actually use it for is mostly two things. First, building precise prospect lists faster than free LinkedIn search would allow (filter to "VP of Engineering at SaaS companies, 50-200 employees, hired in the last 90 days"). Second, getting alerts when those prospects do something noteworthy, so the outreach lands at the right moment.
Sales Navigator users also tend to rank higher on SSI because the product nudges the four behaviors SSI tracks. That isn't an accident.
The trap with Sales Navigator is treating it as a list-extraction tool to feed cold email. LinkedIn's terms restrict scraping and most third-party tools that promise to pull emails get accounts banned. The product works best as the actual surface for outreach, with InMail and engagement on prospect posts as the real channels.
